Tip #5: My insurance company will not pay for my roof replacement or repair. What can I do?
A good roofing company will work on your behalf to fight for your rights. No matter if your claim was 1) denied, 2) partial or calling for repairs or 3) old or improperly settled, our professionals work closely with your insurance adjuster to ensure you receive the full extent and value of your replacement coverage in a timely manner.
Tip #6: Get a complete roof inspection before buying or selling a home.
Licensed home inspectors are not qualified to assess storm damage on roofs. You don't want to pay thousands of dollars out of pocket for a faulty assessment (which I have witnessed many times). Professional, experienced and thorough roofers will give detailed inspections of the roof.
Tip #7: Ask as many questions as you'd like.
Take the time to ask questions. Make a list of questions before meeting the roofing company. We know that a house is much more than a home and we are glad to provide all aspects and details about your roofing or home services project.
Tip #1: Research your contractor.
Thoroughly research as much as you can before you sign a contract. Verify our General Liability Insurance policy and ask us for a list of references by contacting us.
Tip #2: Getting multiple estimates.
It's not always necessary to get several bids for roofing jobs because
the insurance industry uses this strategy to save them money by finding lowest bid and keeping homeowners busy until the insurance adjuster arrives.
Tip #3: Keep your cash in pocket.
Don't make an initial payment until you see materials in your driveway. Don't make a final payment until all work is completed.
Tip #4: Will my insurance company cancel or raise my premium payments if I turn in a roof claim?
No. Insurance companies can not punish a homeowner for acts of God or Mother Nature. Texas insurance premiums are regulated by the Texas State Board of Insurance. Oklahoma insurance premiums are regulated by the Oklahoma Insurance Department.
